MVL Re-Enters Delaram Project - Helmand Province

Jan-11, 2014

Micron Ventures has re-entered Project Delaram in Helmand province Afghanistan as a result of agreed terms with its client US, based Lakeshore Toltest ("LTC"). The project has been resuscitated after a lengthy hold period in which LTC eventually surmounted contracting issues between the Surety and the United States Corps of Engineers ("USACE") , resulting in the project being continued. MVL’s scope within the Delaram project includes MEP, partitioning, finishing, insulation, and thermal protection of 57 of 114 total military KSPAN buildings.

"MVL congratulates LTC on overcoming the challenges it faced operating in the dynamic and high-risk environment in Afghanistan and welcomes the opportunity to return back to Project Delaram to see the project through completion and commissioning. Taking this next step solidifies MVL’s continued commitment to Lakeshore, and ensuring the completion of this essential project for Lakeshore and the USACE" said Mr. Abie Musa, Managing Director at MVL.

Headquartered in Dubai, MVL is an industry-leading supply chain, construction, and project management company with a concentration in the Middle East and North Africa that provides professional services to companies within the defense, construction, and engineering industries. Mr. Joe Saldutti, a member of LTC’s Board of Directors, stated that ”LTC continues to be completely committed to the successful completion of all of our projects in Afghanistan despite the continually changing conditions in the country and on the project sites. The agreement with USACE on the best way forward on the Delaram project was made in partnership with our valued subcontractors. On Delaram, as on a number of our other projects, MVL has distinguished itself as a reliable, honest, and committed partner that can work with us in this ever-changing environment to deliver high-quality work for our clients.”
